I want to work with you as a collective and make a collaborative project in Edinburgh and then get it completed around the Fringe and the Festival and show it at that time.
We Will Make An Imaginary Futuristic City
We will use any media that we can think of to make it. 3d graphics, drawing, film, 3d printing, laser cutting, sculpture etc. As you know, the festival is a time when people arrive in Edinburgh from all over the world including people in the creative industries from Hollywood. Of course, it will get wider coverage due to social media and articles online etc. I have a lot of links with FabLabs and Makerspaces in the UK and also abroad.
Also, with what we make, we can then look to get commercial projects after the publicity.

If you are interested and have skills and enthusiasm, I am currently looking at funding stage so there is no money on the table for now. Once I can get a movement happening with your interest too, it will start the ball rolling to get funding. Today, I’m approaching local government funders, private investors and also crowdfunding too if needed.

As this is a community project around Edinburgh, I’m also looking for people who do not have the skills above, but have a passion to contribute ideas and anything else to add to this project. If this is something that excites you, then get in touch!
It is exciting, we can all contribute and use the FabLab belief – Make, Learn And Share.
I want to emphasise this is not some sort of “college project”. This is aimed at getting noticed on a world platform. The end result will be a presentation of this futuristic city that we will create collaboratively. As a collective, we can achieve amazing things!
In the next few weeks, I’m going to get a meetup venue for those of you who are interested. I want this project to be a collaboration. Let’s meet and start some ideas over a coffee or drinks. Get things moving. I will find a venue this week so please contact me.
