Be Expansive…

This is a short blog post. It is the end of 2015 New Years Eve, the 31st of December. The way we measure time as human beings, notching down the years as numerical values can be argued to be a fabrication. However, measuring the years like this and the end of each year can be a natural time to look at the work and also general life we have led over the last year.

Sounding like a humbug, the way we measure time as human beings, notching down the years as numerical values can be argued to be a fabrication. However, measuring the years like this and the end of each year can be a natural time to look at the work and also general life we have led over the last year.

The people we met, the things we did, the placed we went to. The places we went to physically but also in our minds.

I mean in the sense of how we have expanded as human beings. How we react with others and how we ‘show up’.

Life throws things at you but if you take even the bad things in a new light, they help you learn and expand. This constant learning both in the way we live and importantly for us,

what we create is very important so that we don’t get ourselves stuck in a rut.

In 2016 like most of you, I had bad things happening but also good things. In some ways the setbacks with creative projects and also all the other aspects of my life in my view helped me to adapt for the better.

So here is the one new years resolution I am going to make, it makes everything more simple.

I hope you will consider doing this to.

So

Be Expansive!

Be Expansive

Be Expansive

So that’s a short blog post from me today. However, I think it has a good simple message we can all try in order to improve both our artwork and also our whole lives!

On the subject of learning and being expansive and life long learning, I have made a nice little quiz for you about artists and designers of the Twentieth century. Enjoy, and feel free to comment or ask questions and look out for more VLogs and Screencasts on my Yotube Channel that will inspire and help your creative journey. Speak soon, James.
